What is Roblox verification?

Roblox chat verification is a mandatory system requiring users to confirm their age via Facial Age Estimation (using a webcam/phone camera) or Government ID to access features like in-experience chat, voice chat, and party chat, ensuring communication primarily happens with peers in similar age groups for safety. This system categorizes users (e.g., under 9, 9-12, 13-15, 16-17, 18+), restricting communication to their group or similar ones, with younger users (under 9) needing parental consent to chat at all. Verification is done through the app, with images for facial scans deleted immediately after processing.
